The ‘because I said so’ school of Grammar has never appealed to me. Here now is a
[program] that explains the real reasons behind some of the more obscure rules. It is great fun
to read.

Thank you very much for a fresh and innovative way of teaching grammar. You are an
answer to my prayer!!

I find the program to be invaluable for meeting objectives in writing, reasoning, and proofreading.  The lessons are well-drafted, compact, and to the point. They excel in guiding students to viewing language as a system that they can manipulate and master.

... It is so clearly and logically written!  For example ... it has the clearest explanation I've ever read (for kids) on when to use a comma between adjectives in a series!  When you tell kids that, they don't get it, but your example (if you wouldn't reverse the adjectives -- woolen red sweater -- don't use a comma) is so clear and makes sense!

The Prototype-Construction Approach to grammar instruction has produced measurable improvement in the ability of our students to apply grammar concepts to writing.  The improvement of my own students in both reading and writing skills has been remarkable.

We work with more than 100 schools in North Carolina and have adopted [the] Thinking Through Grammar series and Thinking Through Math Word Problems for supplemental work because it does a great job of teaching students reasoning skills while teaching grammar and math.

The results at Du Sable (Chicago, IL, USA) mirror the results we got last summer using the grammar with another Chicago high school. Students who participated in that program achieved an average gain of one year and three months in reading comprehension after just four weeks of using the grammar.
